Introduction

As a truly global organisation, the Crown Worldwide Group workforce spans multiple countries, cultures and time zones.

But managing a global team comes with challenges – and they wanted to ensure that every employee, whether deskless or office-based, felt valued and connected.

They had big ambitions: to promote an inclusive culture, to recognise employees no matter where they were, and to double down on wellbeing as a cornerstone of their people strategy.

The question is, how do you build a unified experience for everyone - wherever and however they work?

Shirene Kearns, HR & Training Administrator at Crown Worldwide Group, says:

“Crown is a large global organisation and we have both office-based and operations employees, some who often find it difficult to ‘join in’. Many of our employees are out on the road or working different shifts and they may not always have access to a PC – although they do have access to their phones”

Elevating engagement and ROI

Since teaming up with us in 2016, Crown Worldwide Group has made engagement with the Perkbox platform a priority:

When it comes to HR function, Perkbox’s in-depth reporting and pre-planned campaigns have been game changers for Shirene’s team. Instead of spending time creating initiatives, they can promote ready-to-go activities - enriching their culture and celebrating diversity without the extra workload.

“We have an HR calendar and everything in Perkbox’s culture calendar is added there. Whatever Perkbox has got coming up, it’s added. It might be International Happiness Day, Pancake Day or Movember!  It gets everyone involved and motivated, brings unity and gives employees a lift.”

Wellbeing is at the heart of Crown Worldwide Group’s people priorities, and they’ve brought this to life by providing access to meaningful content through our Wellness hub.

“The range of wellbeing content Perkbox has to offer is amazing.  Whether you want to do a full fitness class or two minutes of meditation between meetings – it’s all included.

Harnessing the power of recognition

The organisation takes both wellbeing and engagement to the next level with Perkbox’s recognition feature, centralising their rewards and giving employees a reason to keep visiting the platform.

“I think it’s beneficial to have it all in one area, and it’s monitored so you can run a report to see exactly what’s been rewarded. That makes things very simple for the HR team.

We are rewarding more and more now…for long service, for our employee of the month scheme and rewarding at Christmas. Employees are sending each other more recognitions for doing a great job or being a great colleague and sending greeting cards too. That’s certainly helping with engagement.

By sending reward points, it’s a token of appreciation and our way of recognising and rewarding our employees for their commitment and hard work.  It makes our employees feel valued”
